Ball Jar Glasses

One of my favorite customers, John, found my glasses on Ebay and ordered a set for his wife as a 51st  anniversary gift for his wife, Grace.  Grace went to Ball State Teachers College (now Ball State University) where the Ball Jar in made in Muncie, Indiana.   Grace liked the glasses so much that she gave four of them to her college girlfriends.   They were a big hit and they sent me this picture!

I love my customers!

Here are ladies with their glasses!

Every Wine Glass Needs a Boa? Right? Anyone?

I can never believe that I made a boa skirt for my Deep South Diva wine glasses.  But I did-- and it even comes with velcro so it can be removed.

It's mind blowing they are so darn cute.

Deep South Diva Wine Glass

Here's the first look at a Deep South Diva by Tanner's Touch.   The glass features a hand-painted stem (complete with animal print and glitter), rhinestones on the Ball Jar, and some gingham ribbon and rhinestones on the lid.   It's hand washable and completely drink safe!  Is it over the top?  Yes it is.   But will a Deep South Diva (or one who wishes she is) love it?  Yes she will.

The Deep South Diva by Tanner's Touch. It features a hand-painted base, rhinestones, and ribbon!

You can choose the colors and design!

Super cute label can be customized!
There's even a Texas Diva!

My Wine Glasses

Here are some of the wine glasses I've done so far!  It's kind of fun to take a break from painting my plates!  And I love wine so these make me happy!

W.A.I.T.

At a recent training at my church, the speaker talked about the concept of W.A.I.T. Picture a big stop sign in your head and ask:

Why
Am
I
Talking?

I talk all the time! And sometimes I call my hubby or my mom or my sister or my best friend and then realize I don't even have a good reason to call. Why Am I Talking? Is what I have to say really that important? Or am I calling them because I'm bored and uncomfortable with the silence (ding ding ding).

So, I'm now trying to apply the WAIT principle to my life and, hopefully, I'll be able to become a much better listener in doing so. I'm hoping I'll be able to really hear my children's concerns and let them find their own words for how they are feeling instead of me filling in the blanks for them with my words. Most importantly, I'm hoping that in the quiet times when I'm not babbling, I can hear what God is telling me to do or say and that I follow His lead instead of always trying to be the leader.

Old Plate vs. New Plate

Every once in a while, some of my first plates show up on my screensaver and I shudder. They were so ugly. Here's a "good" plate. Cute, clean, and a customer favorite. But, scroll down farther and you'll see the ugly. I meant well, but it is pretty heinous.

You've been warned... It's bad.

This one of the first plates I did in May 2010. It's pretty heinous.

I guess I've improved as an artist. I'll post some more of my plates soon!

Best Mascara

Best mascara ever! I have short lashes and this is the one mascara that makes it look like I have long lashes! Love it!

Southern Style Wine Glasses

Some might call these Redneck wine glasses, but I call them fun! What a fun way to celebrate summer! I add a touch of color in glass beads right under the Mason jar-- you can choose matching colors or choose no beads at all. Clicking on the picture will take you my etsy listing.

Let's give stuff away!

To be honest, I started this blog to promote my business, Tanner's Touch. I hand paint plates, make glass magnets, and make Ball Jar wine glasses! But, I can't do a giveaway on facebook, so here we are.

I sell at local boutiques around Dallas, but I also sell on etsy!

You can find my goodies here: www.tanners-touch.com
